Sustainability

Sustainability is very important to us at Harepath End and we have implemented a number of measures to reduce the environmental impact of our accommodation.

Solar electricity

Harepath End uses solar energy to generate electricity. This works effectively on bright days throughout the year.

Solar hot water

A separate solar system also heats the water on warm sunny days (this is backed up with a conventional system to ensure there’s plenty of hot water for our guests).

Recycling

We recycle as much as possible at Harepath End and there are separate containers for different items. You can view a list of which items can be recycled (and which container to use) on the East Devon Council website.

Travel

We encourage guests to reduce their carbon footprint and leave their car with us for the duration of their stay. Seaton is easily accessible on foot and the local bus service to Exeter has some spectacular coastal views.

Activities

There are many carbon-neutral activities to be undertaken locally. Walking, cycling and swimming to name just a few.

Devon Carbon Plan

We support the Devon Carbon Plan which seeks to reach net-zero emissions by 2050 at the latest.
